Managing humidity is one of the simplest ways to protect firearms from corrosion, and Lockdown's Hygrometer makes it easy to keep an eye on conditions inside a gun safe or vault. This analogue gauge gives an accurate relative humidity reading at a glance, with large, easy-to-read numbers on a 2.75in dial behind a glass face and a shock-resistant metal housing. Excessive moisture in a storage area can lead to rapid corrosion and pitting on metal surfaces, so knowing when humidity is creeping up lets you act — whether that means adding a desiccant, a dehumidifier rod, or simply airing the safe out. It mounts easily to the interior wall or door of a safe using the included fasteners or the hook-and-loop pad, so there's no need for tools or drilling. A small, inexpensive addition that takes the guesswork out of looking after stored firearms, and a sensible companion to any moisture-control routine inside a vault or cabinet.
