The Stealth Cam Browtine 18MP is a compact trail camera built for keeping watch over feeders, trails and woodland edges without disturbing the ground you're monitoring. It captures still images at a selectable 18MP, 8MP or 4MP resolution and records 480p video at 30 frames per second, triggering in as little as 0.8 seconds and firing off a burst of one to three photos per activation. Detection and infrared range extend to 80ft, illuminated after dark by 18 850-nanometre IR LEDs sitting behind a tinted FX shield that covers the PIR and IR array for a more discreet daytime appearance. Recovery time between triggers is adjustable across five settings from 5 seconds up to 120 seconds, so it can be tuned to a busy feed station or a quieter stalking permission. Every image carries a time, date and moon-phase stamp, useful for reading deer movement patterns against the light. It runs on 8 AA batteries, stores images on SD cards up to 32GB, and has an integrated provision for a python-style cable lock to secure it in the field. So budget...

I've ordered several trail cams previously from Bushwear and was expecting a similar product. These however are so budget they don't have a display screen to check the pics and I found setting up the date etc not intuitive like the other models. Although the price was quite cheap, I thought this was because they were in a sale and not because the product is cr*p

Should have read the small print...

Not impressed - the fact that there is no integral viewing screen is not made sufficiently clear. I've never had a camera in this price range which didn't have that facility so it should be flagged up more explicitly. A waste of money for me as I need to frequently check it and move it whilst out in the field but too late to return it now, box thrown away etc. Been shopping from Bushwear for a long time now, since at least 2010, and this is the first time I've had a product from them that I didn't like. Clearly why it was on sale at a 50% reduction. I should have read the small print. Hey ho, a lesson learned....
