The Ragnar is Härkila's lightweight hunting trouser for hill stalking and active days in the field. It is made from a stretch fine canvas in 96% nylon and 4% spandex, so it moves with you on steep ground. There is no membrane; instead the fabric is DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treated, so water beads up and runs off rather than soaking in, and dirt brushes off.
Ventilation zips on the back of the thighs and on the lower legs let heat out on a hard walk in, and the vents are backed with mesh to keep debris out when they are open. There are two front pockets and two zipped thigh pockets, and the right thigh pocket carries a holder for four rifle cartridges.
The ankles are reinforced with a tougher fabric and have a press-stud strap for a close fit over boots. Adjuster straps behind the knees, an anti-slip inner waistband and a D-ring on the left of the waistband for attaching kit finish it off. Average weight 0.669 kg.
