Smith's Diamond Stone Precision Sharpening System is a complete guided sharpening kit for keeping knives working-sharp, built around a V-Lock vice and a folding angle guide with four angle positions instead of the usual two, so the blade sits at a consistent angle stroke after stroke. The kit includes a coarse diamond stone and a fine diamond stone for shaping and refining an edge, a fine Arkansas stone for a smooth finish, and a serrated-edge stone bar for scalloped blades that ordinary flat stones can't reach into. Each stone bar is a full 1 inch wide, and the diamond stones carry a micro-tool sharpening pad plus a sharpening groove for hooks and other pointed tools, so smaller edges aren't left out. Oversized thumb screws on the vice make it easy to clamp a blade securely without tools, and a bottle of Smith's honing solution is included to clean the stones and float away swarf as you work. Everything packs into a fabric storage pouch, making the whole system easy to keep in a kit bag or tackle box and take out to the field, the workshop or the kitchen whenever an edge needs attention.
