Birchwood Casey's Brass Slotted Tip for 12, 16, 20 and 28 gauge shotguns holds a cleaning patch securely in its slot so it can't slip loose, whether you're pushing it down the bore or pulling it back through. That two-way grip is particularly useful on a shotgun barrel, where a loose or bunched patch can leave streaks of fouling behind rather than lifting it cleanly out. Solid brass construction protects the bore from wear and won't mark the barrel, and the tip threads onto most standard cleaning rods so it fits straight into an existing shotgun cleaning kit alongside brushes, mops and solvent.
