The Deerhunter Excape Quilted Jacket is a well-thought-out insulated mid-layer built for hunters and country sportsmen who need warmth without bulk. Constructed from 100% noiseless polyester with Dupont Sorona Sustans insulation (135g per garment), it keeps you comfortable in cold, damp conditions while the treated exterior repels water and light rain. Stretchable contrast fabric panels at the sides deliver a noticeably better range of movement than a standard quilted jacket — useful when mounting a rifle or negotiating rough ground. Pockets are well arranged for the field: a zipped chest pocket for quick-access items, two zipped hand-warmer pockets at the front, and two inner pockets for valuables or layers of documents. Elasticated edging tape at the cuffs seals out draughts, and an adjustable drawstring at the hem lets you dial in the fit over base and mid layers. Certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and designed as part of the Deerhunter Excape Layering system, it works equally well as a standalone piece on mild days or as a warm inner under a waterproof shell.
