Woolpower's Felt Insoles are cut from the same recycled felt as their Sit Pads — offcuts collected from the production of Woolpower's base layers and socks in Sweden, shredded and pressed back into a dense, insulating material rather than sent to waste. The felt contains a minimum of 50% merino wool, and wool's natural ability to trap air and manage moisture means the insoles stay warm underfoot even when they pick up condensation inside a boot — unlike foam insoles, which go cold and damp. At 5mm thick they slip easily into wellingtons, walking boots, shooting boots or everyday shoes, adding a genuine layer of insulation against cold ground on a long day in the field. They're sold in six sizes covering shoe sizes 36–47 — buy your usual size — and, because the felt is made from genuine leftover material rather than fabric dyed to order, the colour varies slightly batch to batch; Woolpower call it 'recycled grey'.
