The Extremities Guide Balaclava is a mid-weight, fully windproof softshell balaclava built for cold, exposed days in the hills and on the hill ground. It is cut from WINDSTOPPER softshell, so it blocks the windchill that cuts through ordinary knit headwear while keeping enough give to sit close around the head and face. A fleece panel at the nose and mouth adds breathability where your breath would otherwise dampen the fabric, and a perforated ear area keeps your hearing open, which matters when you need to pick up movement or a shot in the field. The cut is deliberately versatile: pull it up for full head and face cover in a biting wind, or drop it down to wear as a neck gaiter when the weather eases. That makes it a sensible single piece for stalking, beating, wildfowling and general cold-weather walking, where conditions change through the day and you do not want to swap kit on the move.
