The Sitka Ascent Glove is a lightweight, breathable hunting glove built for early-season stalking and warm-weather hill work, when you want sun and terrain protection without losing feel on the trigger or bowstring. The back of the hand is Cordura and nylon for abrasion resistance against rock and thorn, while the Ax Suede palm gives a sure, low-bulk grip on a rifle forend or binoculars. Conductive synthetic leather panels in the thumb and forefinger let you run a GPS or phone touchscreen without pulling the glove off, and Polygiene odour control keeps sweat smell in check over long days on the hill. The GORE OPTIFADE Open Country pattern is engineered for open, rocky ground and engagement ranges of 50 yards and beyond, which suits highland stalking above the treeline. At roughly 35 g per glove (1.25 oz, size Large), the Ascent all but disappears on the hand and slips easily under a heavier glove when the temperature drops.
