The Stavanger GTX field sports boot has nubuck leather upper and Gore-Tex lining

combined with an excellent sole which makes for an incredibly robust and durable

boot.

Extreme terrains can be tackled with confidence thanks to Meindl's Multi-Grip Rock

sole - the outside of the sole features abrasion-resistant, sharp-edged rubber with

integrated moveable blades, whilst the inner section of the sole features a unique

compound of rubber and felt which gives exceptional grip. The sole profile across the

arch is designed to provide further stability.

Hand-crafted in nubuck leather, the boots have a high, protective rubber rand all the

way around and a built up ankle that provides great support but has a compression

zone to help with natural and easy movement. An Air-Active footbed and a GORE-

TEX lining create a breathable, dry, and comfortable foot climate.

Very impressed so far. Perfect fit. Walked 12 miles on day one with absolutely no issues. Especially pleased with the eyelets when lacing up. They lock when pulled tight and therefore give excellent support. This is my third pair of Meindl boots, all different styles. These are the best yet. 5 stars.

Hopefully as good as my Dovre Extremes have been

Had a pair of Meindl dovre extreme for 8 years and they have been so so good, thought I would try the Stavanger and after beating twice in pretty wet and muddy conditions, so far so good. Comfy straight out of the box, great sturdy sole, plenty of grip, usual Meindl quality. Hopefully I’ll get 8 years out of these.
Think they are slightly lighter than the Dovre, so up to now 5 star performance.

plantar fasciitis

So the doctor told me to ditch the aigle parcours 2 iso wellies size 38 and trainers and find something with more support which I thought would be more painful and recommended a substantial tall working boot. However 4 months on I agree yes the plantar is still there but at least I can walk rather than tip toe. I walk a dog for 2 hours a day in them and can wear them around the farm for an extra 2 hours quite happily (can't really run in them though) I also have morton neuroma in both feet so after that my feet get too hot. As a female size 5 they are true to size but are wide in the toe area but as I live in Ariat Yard boots Size 4 and crocs they are fine. When I first tried them on it felt as though my weight distribution was altered but no blisters and feet have remained dry. Externally they do take a long time to dry out. Now just hope to find a boot for the summer months.
