Hunters Video Classic Safari Hunting DVD (Zimbabwe)
501349
Classic Safari from Hunters Video follows Knud and Bente on the African trip of a lifetime, marking their silver wedding with a hunt in the wild country of Zimbabwe. The film opens with the couple aboard the celebrated Rovos Rail luxury train and a tasting of fine South African wines before the real business begins, guided by professional hunter Alex Kirkmann across a genuinely wild concession where nothing comes easy and the game has to be worked for. Knud takes a run of strong trophies, crowned by his dream animal, a Cape buffalo, alongside eland, sable, impala and wildebeest. It is an honest portrait of fair-chase African hunting, equal parts travelogue and stalking film, with the scenery, the camp life and the pursuit given room to breathe. Running to 55 minutes and supplied with multi-language audio, it makes a relaxed watch for any stalker or plains-game enthusiast planning their own safari or simply enjoying the spectacle of the bushveld from the armchair.
