The Nordik Barrborn Pro Crow is a mouth-blown call built to bring crows in close and keep them agitated, making it a useful tool for anyone managing corvids on the ground. It's one of two calls in the Barrborn Crow series designed by Swedish callmaker Roger Barrborn in partnership with Nordikpredator, and it's built to be the harder-edged of the pair, producing the aggressive, needling sounds that provoke a response rather than settle one. To use it, rest the mouthpiece between your lips just in front of your teeth, keeping a 3-4mm gap between your upper and lower front teeth, and start with a coarse R-sound made without forcing the air. From there, varying how hard you pinch or bite the mouthpiece shifts the pitch, and cupping a hand in front of the sound chamber and opening and closing it adds further tonal variation once you've got the basic sound down. Nordikpredator recommend pairing it with the softer-voiced Nordik Barrborn Basic Crow call, alternating between the two to build a realistic duet of contact and aggression calls.
