The Pixfra Mile M40-B13 is a compact handheld thermal imaging monocular built for stalking, foxing and night-time pest control. At its core is a 400×300, 17µm uncooled VOx sensor with sub-35mK NETD, paired with a 13mm f1.0 lens to give a detection range of up to 508m and a wide 24.0°x2.6° field of view for scanning ground quickly, at 0.86x magnification. The image is shown on a sharp 1280×960 viewfinder, with Pixfra's processing keeping detail crisp across White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red and Alarm colour palettes. A built-in stadiametric rangefinder helps judge distance to a heat source without extra kit, while adjustable dioptre control lets the eyepiece be set to the user's own eyesight for fatigue-free viewing. The monocular records stills and video to microSD, connects to the Pixfra app over Wi-Fi for shared viewing on a phone, and carries a laser pointer that auto-disables after 10 seconds for eye safety. At under 450g and IP67-rated against dust and water, and rated to work from -20°C to +50°C, it's built to live in a jacket pocket or belt pouch and go straight to work in the field.
