The Pixfra Ranger R635 is a 640x512, 12µm handheld thermal imaging monocular built for stalking, pest control and night-time observation. Its Vanadium Oxide uncooled sensor pairs with a 35mm f1.0 objective lens to give a detection range of up to 1800m, while 2.05x native magnification and a 12.4 x 10.0 degree field of view keep the picture wide enough to follow moving quarry. Thermal imagery is shown on a sharp 1440x1080 OLED display, with six colour palettes - Black Hot, White Hot, Iron Red, Sepia, Green Hot and Alarm - to suit changing light and ground conditions. A built-in stadiametric rangefinder lets the user bracket a target to estimate distance without a separate unit, and the adjustable dioptre tunes the picture to the user's own eyesight. Onboard photo and video recording saves to a microSD card of up to 256GB, and built-in Wi-Fi connects the monocular to the Pixfra app so more than one phone can view the same feed. Weighing under 400g and rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, the R635 is built to keep working through a UK stalking season, from -30C to +50C.
