The Lee Classic Loader for .308 Winchester is a compact, hand-operated reloading kit that lets you reload centrefire rifle brass without a press. Everything needed to decap, neck-size, prime, charge and seat a bullet for .308 Win (7.62 NATO) is in the box — decapping and sizing chamber, priming chamber and rod, powder dipper, and a full charge/load data sheet — all housed in a small storage case that packs away in a drawer or range bag. The tool works by hand pressure and light mallet blows rather than the leverage of a press, so it is genuinely portable and needs no bench-mounted equipment; you do need your own rubber, plastic or wood mallet, which is not included in the kit. Because it neck-sizes only, brass must have been fired in the same rifle it will be reloaded for, and Lee does not recommend the Classic Loader for semi-auto, pump-action or lever-action rifles. It is an ideal introduction to handloading for a bolt-action .308 owner who wants consistent, low-cost ammunition without the cost or bulk of a full reloading press.
