The Fenn Mk6 is a genuine British-made spring trap approved under the Spring Traps Approval (England) Order for rabbits, mink, grey squirrels, weasels, rats and mice. It is the larger of the two classic Fenn marks — unlike the Mk4, the Mk6 carries approval for rabbits, making it the trap of choice for gamekeepers and pest controllers tackling warren runs and tunnel sets on farmland, forestry and shooting estates. The trap is designed to deliver a swift, humane head kill when an animal disturbs the treadle plate. By law it must be set inside a tunnel, either a purpose-made wooden or plastic box or within a natural warren entrance, to prevent non-target species from triggering it. The safety catch should be engaged at all times during setting and carrying — this is a powerful trap. Traps must be inspected at least once every 24 hours in accordance with current legislation.
