The Bisley AB3, manufactured in the UK by Sportsmatch, is a dual-purpose accessory for air rifle scope mounting on 9.5–11.5mm dovetail rails. Used as a raiser block, two AB3 units fit directly on to the dovetail and standard scope mounts then secure on top, lifting the sight line by 13mm to clear high objective lenses or improve cheek-weld alignment. Used as an arrestor block, a single AB3 is positioned just behind the front mount on a spring-piston airgun to prevent scope creep – the block adds a secondary clamping point that resists the forward shock of the main-spring release. An easy-fit recoil-stop pin is built in for the arrestor role. The block is secured by two Allen-head screws, measures 21mm in length and tips the scales at under 20g. A neat, compact solution to two common scope-mounting problems on air rifles.
