The BushWear Solid Oak Red Stag Skull Shield is a wall-mounting plaque cut from solid oak for displaying a red stag skull and antlers as a finished trophy. At 9.5" x 19" it is sized larger than the roe shields in the range, giving the broader skull and heavier antlers of a red deer the backing they need to sit square and proud on the wall. The oak is left with its natural grain on show, a traditional look that suits a stalking room, gamekeeper's office or any dedicated trophy wall. A hanging fixing is fitted to the back before it leaves us, so the shield is ready to go straight onto the wall with no extra brackets to source. Although it is built around the red stag, the same generous proportions take other large deer skulls and antler sets equally well. For the stalker who wants to record a memorable beast properly, or the taxidermist preparing a mount for a client, it is a solid, honest base that lets the antlers do the talking.
