This Decoy trophy plate is a round wooden wall shield for displaying the tusks of a wild boar after the hunt. Turned from FSC-certified oak and finished in a dark stain, the 16 cm plate gives a single set of boar tusks a traditional Continental-style mount that suits a gun room, hallway or larder wall. It is the smaller plate in the range, sized for a typical young-to-medium boar; larger 18 cm and 20 cm plates are available where bigger tusks need more room. Mounting the tusks themselves is straightforward work for anyone used to preparing trophies, and the dark finish sets off the pale ivory of cleaned tusks nicely.
