ATTRATEC No. 2 Anis Ultra is a concentrated aniseed-based attractant supplied as a 50ml aerosol spray, designed to bring game to a chosen spot quickly and keep them coming back. The intense aniseed scent develops within about a minute of spraying and is held in place by a depot-forming agent that slows its release, giving a genuinely long-lasting effect rather than a quick burst that fades within the hour. ATTRATEC developed the formula specifically to get around the drawbacks of ordinary aniseed oil, which oxidises quickly and solidifies in cold weather, needing to be warmed before use — this spray works reliably in low temperatures, down to at least -10°C, straight from the can. It's rated for a broad spectrum of quarry, including predators, wild boar, roe deer and pigeons. Application is straightforward: give the target area one or two short bursts, then turn the can upside down and spray briefly again until it runs clear, which clears the valve and gets the most from the contents. One 50ml can is good for roughly 75 to 100 applications, so it goes a long way across a season of baiting or vermin control, and stores well between outings.
