Italian or Portuguese?

Quite a lightweight strap. I bought it for a guitar case and put a couple of cheap dog lead snap swivels on it. So far the dog has been disappointingly slow at learning the guitar. There were two labels on the strap, one said 'Made in Italy' and the other 'Made in Portugal'. A few years ago my pal Brian played a week's gigs at an Expo in Italy and then drove to his time-share in the Algarve where the guitar was robbed. Ex post facto coincidence or what? Every word of that is true, by the way. What else do you need to know about this European-ish leather strap?
