- Made by Bisley
The Bisley No.16 is a screw-in front sight bead for shotguns, supplied in this pack of five as spares or to fit more than one gun. Like other bead sights of this pattern, it fits into the threaded hole machined into the barrel rib, giving the shooter a single clear reference point to align along when mounting the gun — helping keep the eye, rib and target in the same picture as the shot is taken. The 3mm thread is one of two common sizes used across shotgun ribs (the other being 2.6mm), fitted as standard by a number of makers including Browning and Franchi; check the thread already in your gun's rib before ordering, as fitting the wrong size will not seat correctly. Because a rib bead is small and easily lost or damaged during cleaning, stripping or general use, keeping a pack of five in reserve means a shooter — or a gunsmith working through several guns — always has a genuine, correctly-threaded replacement to hand rather than being left without a sight bead in the field.
