The Bisley Bead Sight No.18 is a screw-in shotgun sight bead in Bisley's No.18 pattern, supplied as a pack of five. It carries a 2.6mm thread, the size drilled into the rib of a number of shotguns, Beretta among them, and shared by several other makes that use the same 2.6mm fitting, including Benelli and Perazzi. Steel construction keeps the bead itself hard-wearing where a softer material would mark or crush in the thread. It can be used as a replacement front sight bead or as a mid-rib bead for barrel alignment, screwing straight into the existing threaded hole in the rib once the original bead has worked loose, been damaged, or gone missing altogether — a common enough occurrence on a gun that sees regular use. Because it comes as a pack of five rather than a single item, it is a sensible one to keep on hand as a genuine spare, whether for topping up a single gun over the years or for a household running more than one shotgun on the same thread. Always check the thread size against your own gun before ordering, as bead threads vary between makers.
