The Beretta A391 Recoil Absorber (part no.14, OEM reference C70564) is a factory-original replacement component for the 391 series semi-automatic shotgun. Manufactured from polymer and steel, this buffer sits downstream of the piston assembly and absorbs the cycling forces generated each time the gun fires, protecting the receiver and helping the action run smoothly. Over time the absorber can crack or compress from sustained use, leading to harsher felt recoil and inconsistent cycling — fitting a fresh OEM unit restores the action to factory specification. Compatible with the Beretta A391 in 12 gauge as well as the A300 Outlander and A300 Ultima in 12 and 20 gauge, this part is a sensible addition to any 391 owner's spares kit.
