The Beretta Rifle Snap Caps in .30-06 Springfield are a set of two dummy rounds machined from red anodised aluminium, with the Beretta logo on the head and the calibre stamped for instant identification. Snap caps serve a straightforward but important purpose: they allow you to dry-fire a centrefire rifle safely, cushioning the firing pin against the hard chamber floor and preventing the fatigue and potential damage that repeated dry-firing on an empty chamber can cause over time. They are equally useful for practising magazine loading and unloading drills, checking ejector and extractor function, and for safely lowering the hammer or releasing the cocking piece before storage. The .30-06 Springfield calibre is confirmed on the case head, so there is no risk of confusion in a multi-calibre cabinet. A simple, durable tool for anyone who wants to maintain their rifle in top condition without putting live rounds through it.
