Birchwood Casey's Brass Push Jag for .243 and 6mm calibre is a solid brass cleaning jag built to give a tight, controlled fit between a cleaning patch and the bore of one of the UK's most popular stalking rifle calibres. The pointed tip keeps the patch centred and taut as it passes through the barrel, pressing solvent, oil or a dry patch evenly against the rifling instead of letting it bunch or slip. It threads onto a standard cleaning rod and is a sensible addition to the kit bag for anyone running a .243 or 6mm rifle for foxing, roe or general deer work, where keeping the bore properly clean supports consistent accuracy season after season. Brass construction is soft enough not to mark or wear the bore or crown, so it can be used repeatedly without doing the barrel any harm. It is a small, inexpensive part, but one that makes barrel cleaning noticeably more thorough than a loose-fitting universal jag.
