Birchwood Casey's Brass Push Jag in 270/6.8mm is a solid-brass cleaning jag sized for .270 and 6.8mm rifle bores, made to thread onto most standard cleaning rods. Its pointed tip holds a cleaning patch centred and gripped tight, giving a close, tight-tolerance fit between patch and bore rather than a loose pass-through. That fit is what makes the difference — it pushes dirt, powder fouling and old oil ahead of the patch instead of just moving them around the barrel, whether you're running a dry patch through after a day out, pushing solvent-soaked patches through on a full clean, or laying down a light film of oil before the rifle goes back in the cabinet. Solid brass construction won't mark or wear the bore the way a cheaper alloy jag can, and the jag is shaped to fit most brands of cleaning rod, so it slots straight into an existing kit. It's a small, unglamorous bit of kit, but a properly fitted jag makes a genuine difference to how well a barrel actually cleans up rather than just getting wiped through. Supplied as a single push jag.
