RIG +P from Birchwood Casey is specially formulated to help prevent galling on stainless steel firearms, where standard oils can allow moving metal surfaces to bind and wear against each other. It leaves a thin protective film that keeps the firearm rust-free and working properly, whether it is in storage or has been out in wet field conditions. Suited to rifles, handguns, shotguns and muzzleloaders built with stainless steel components, it gives those actions the kind of care a general-purpose gun oil, not formulated for stainless surfaces, cannot properly provide. Supplied in a 1.5oz squeeze tube, it is easy to apply sparingly to exactly the points that need it, rather than over-oiling the action.
