Birchwood Casey Walnut Wood Stain is a water-based stain giving a true brown-walnut colour for a traditional gunstock look. It is sun-fast, true to colour and does not bleed, producing a clear, rich tone without clouding the grain or smearing. Strength is easy to control: dilute with water for a lighter shade, or use full strength on pale woods such as birch. A 50/50 mix of stain and water suits most jobs, and it is worth testing on a scrap piece of wood first. Always stain before any other finishing step. 3oz bottle.
