The Gehmann 392 is a set of three push-in colour filters made to fit the Gehmann 390 clip-on iris, the sprung foresight iris that clips over a shooter's own glasses for target rifle and pistol shooting. Each filter drops into the iris in place of the standard clear insert, changing how the black bullseye reads against the white of the target. Yellow sharpens definition in flat or overcast light, orange lifts contrast further for shooters who want a crisper edge to the aiming mark, and grey mutes overall brightness on bright days without altering colour balance. Because the filters simply push into the same fitting as the iris itself, a shooter can change between them in seconds on the firing point to match changing light or personal preference, rather than being locked into one setting for a whole session. This is a purpose-made accessory for the 390 iris only, not a universal fit, and the iris itself is sold separately.
