Gehmann's 510-S Iris is the silver-finish version of the 510 rearsight iris, built for Olympic-discipline target rifle shooters who want the same precision aperture control in a distinctive matt black and silver finish. The aim point is held precisely through a wide 0.5-3.0mm adjustment range using a system of aperture control that varies the pressure of a steel tube against the central aiming ring, guaranteeing a perfectly circular aperture at any point on the scale. Like the standard 510, it uses a fixed-seat iris with individually pin-located, tempered spring steel leaves firmly connected to the body, so there is no shift in point of impact as the aperture is adjusted. All surfaces carry a matt finish to minimise glare, and the scale is laser-engraved for clear, repeatable settings. It carries the standard M9.5 x 1 thread, compatible with Feinwerkbau, Steyr, Walther, Hämmerli, Grünig + Elmiger, Anschütz, Diana and other well-known target rifle rearsights, and is supplied with a locking collar and spanner tool.
