Bisley's Field Trial Advanced slip lead is built for the competition field and everyday training alike — small, light and strong enough to stand up to real gundog work. It's made from 5mm English braid rope with a smooth outer cover that cuts down on wear and friction against the hand, and finished at 1.2m long in green. A small spring-loaded plastic stopper slides freely along the braid and locks in place wherever you need it, so the loop can be set snug or eased off in seconds. The looped handle runs through a stainless steel rope thimble, which keeps the braid running smoothly and stops it fraying at the point of most wear. Light enough to barely notice and comfortable to hold through a long training session, it also folds down small enough to carry a spare — in a coat pocket, a training bag or the glove box — so you're never without a lead when a dog needs steadying quickly.
