The Bisley So1 Safari 12 Gauge Shotgun Kit brings together everything needed to keep a 12-bore in first-class order, presented in a sturdy lidded case that makes it equally suited to the gun cabinet shelf or as a gift. The three-piece cleaning rod assembles quickly to reach the full length of any standard 12-gauge barrel, and the kit supplies four different attachments — a phosphor bronze brush to shift stubborn fouling, a wool mop for applying solvent and oil, a nylon jag for patch work, and a yellow duster for a final wipe-down. Two of Bisley's own gun-care products are included: their Gun Oil for protecting metalwork and moving parts, and their Bore Cleaner for breaking down nitro powder deposits after a day's shooting. A supply of cleaning patches completes the kit, so there is nothing extra to buy before getting started. It covers rifle and smoothbore chores equally well, though its calibre-specific tools are sized for 12 gauge.
