Bore Tech's Action Cleaning Tool Kit for 3-lug centrefire bolt actions is built to reach the one part of a rifle most cleaning routines miss: the bolt face, raceway and locking lug recess. Brass shavings, powder residue and old bolt grease collect in these areas and, left alone, accelerate wear and cause malfunctions. The kit's 20in polished stainless steel rod keeps the handle clear of a high cheekpiece, and it's fitted with Bore Tech's flexible moulded rubber wiper shaped specifically for 3-lug centrefire actions - a different profile to the standard 2-lug wiper, because a 2-lug tool won't seat properly in a three-recess bolt face. A polymer rod collar centres the rod so it can't mark the action, a medium chamber mop lifts any solvent left in the chamber, and a supply of 2½in round cotton patches is included to spike onto the wiper. Everything packs into a screw-top storage tube, ready to go straight after the barrel is cleaned.
