Bore Tech's AR-15 Receiver Wiper Set 2X is a two-piece cleaning tool built to reach the parts of an AR-platform rifle that ordinary patches and dental rolls can't clear properly: the barrel extension and the upper receiver. The cross-shaped Barrel Extension Wiper is sized for the AR-15's locking lug recesses — its flexible rubber fingers compress as they pass through the lugs, then spring open once inside the extension to lift out trapped brass shavings, powder residue and old solvent. The circular Upper Receiver Wiper conforms to the curve of the AR-15 upper's interior walls, wiping the same fouling and built-up grease off the receiver itself. Both wipers are moulded from solvent-resistant rubber around a Proof Positive alloy core with a male 8/32 thread, so they screw straight onto a standard non-rotating cleaning rod. Bore Tech recommend spiking a 2½" round patch over each wiper, dampening it with a bore solvent, then working it through the extension and receiver until the patch comes out clean — a proper fix for areas that are otherwise difficult to dry and keep free of the debris that accelerates bolt and carrier wear.
