Bore Tech's Bullet Knock-Out Set is a range-box essential for safely clearing a lodged bullet or stuck case without ruining a cleaning rod. Machined from solid brass, the set includes four knock-out tips that thread onto the end of a cleaning rod and cover .17 to .50 calibre, working on both rifles and pistols. Each tip carries identification rings machined into the brass — one ring for .17-.20 calibre, two for .22-6.5mm, three for .270-.338 calibre and four for .35 calibre and up — so the correct tip is easy to match to the bore. In use, the rifle is unloaded and cleared, the correctly sized tip is threaded onto a properly fitted cleaning rod, and the rod tip is held ten to twelve inches above the obstruction before being released to let gravity drive it free, working the bullet or case back towards the breech. It is a straightforward way to sort a stuck bullet at the bench or in the field without resorting to force that can bend a rod or mark a bore.
