Bore Tech's Proof-Positive Pistol Patch Jag is a US-made handgun cleaning jag sized for .22 calibre rimfire pistols and revolvers, cut with an 8-32 male thread to fit Bore Tech's own Proof-Positive Bore Stix and V-Stix pistol cleaning rods. It solves a problem every brass jag has: standard jags run over 60% copper, so a genuine copper-removing solvent such as Eliminator strips the jag itself and turns the patch blue even when the bore is already clean. Bore Tech's proprietary alloy is completely brass-free yet as soft as brass, so a blue patch means real copper fouling, not a false reading from the tool. Each jag carries two sets of four precision-machined contact rings — the first ring of each set rounded to centre the jag in the bore, the remaining three squared to grip the patch — for consistent, concentric pressure and a snug fit in .22 calibre pistol bores. A reverse-taper rear profile lifts the cleaning rod clear of the crown as it's drawn back through the muzzle, protecting accuracy. Sold individually, one calibre-specific jag per handgun.
