Bore Tech's Proof-Positive Pistol Patch Jag for .44 and .45 calibre handguns solves a problem that catches out anyone using a copper-removing bore cleaner: a standard brass jag is over 60% copper, so it reacts with the solvent and turns patches blue even when the bore itself is clean. This jag is machined from Bore Tech's proprietary brass-free alloy, as soft as brass so it won't mark the bore, but far tougher, so it won't bend or snap under a tight patch. A dual set of four precision-machined contact rings gives true, concentric pressure on the bore surface for a consistent clean, while a reverse taper at the rear centres the jag and lifts the cleaning rod off the bottom of the barrel as it's withdrawn, protecting the crown. It carries an 8-32 male thread to fit Bore Tech's own Proof-Positive cleaning rods, with an adaptor available for Dewey or Parker Hale rods.
