Bore Tech's Shotgun Patch Jag is sized specifically for 10 gauge bores and screws onto any cleaning rod carrying the standard 5/16-27 male thread. Four oversized, flexible nylon petals apply 360 degrees of concentric pressure against the barrel wall, so a patch conforms fully to the bore rather than riding loose on one side. Gripping rings moulded into each petal hold the patch securely as it travels the length of the barrel, stopping the bunching that spoils an even clean. Because the petals compress on the way through, the jag passes through fixed and removable choke tubes without needing to be swapped for a narrower jag part-way down the barrel. At 2.5in overall including the spear point, it makes light work of spiking a patch, running solvent through the bore, then following with dry patches until they come out clean. Made from durable nylon in the USA, it is a simple, low-cost way to get a consistent, thorough clean through a 10 gauge barrel after a day's shooting.
