Bore Tech's Shotgun Patch Jag is sized for 12 gauge bores and threads straight onto any cleaning rod carrying the standard 5/16-27 male fitting. Four oversized, flexible nylon petals give 360 degrees of concentric pressure against the barrel wall, so the patch conforms fully to the bore instead of dragging unevenly. Gripping rings built into each petal hold the patch firmly in place as it runs the length of the barrel, which stops it bunching and keeps contact consistent from breech to muzzle. The petals compress as they travel, so the jag passes straight through fixed and removable choke tubes without swapping to a slimmer jag for the last few inches. At 2.5in overall including the spear point, it is quick to spike a patch, run cleaning solvent through the barrel, then follow up with dry patches until they run clean. Built from tough nylon and made in the USA, it is a straightforward way to get a thorough, even clean through a 12 gauge barrel — the most common gauge on the range and in the field.
