Bore Tech's Shotgun Patch Jag is sized for 16 gauge bores and screws directly onto any cleaning rod fitted with the standard 5/16-27 male thread. Four oversized, flexible nylon petals apply 360 degrees of concentric pressure against the barrel, so the patch conforms fully to the bore surface rather than sitting loose on one side. Gripping rings moulded into each petal hold the patch securely as it travels the full length of the barrel, preventing bunching and keeping contact even from breech to muzzle. Because the petals compress on the way through, the jag passes through fixed and removable choke tubes without having to be swapped for a slimmer jag near the muzzle. At 2.5in overall including the spear point, it makes short work of spiking a patch, saturating it with cleaning solvent and running it through the barrel, then following with dry patches until they come out clean. Made from durable nylon in the USA, it gives a consistent, thorough clean on a 16 gauge barrel with none of the fuss of a wrapped cleaning rag.
