Bore Tech's Shotgun Patch Jag is sized for 28 gauge bores and threads onto any cleaning rod carrying the standard 5/16-27 male fitting. Four oversized, flexible nylon petals apply 360 degrees of concentric pressure against the barrel wall, so the patch conforms fully to the smaller bore instead of sitting loose against it. Gripping rings moulded into each petal hold the patch securely as it travels the length of the barrel, which stops it bunching and keeps contact even over the full pass. The petals compress on the way through, so the jag passes straight through fixed and removable choke tubes without needing to be swapped for a slimmer jag near the muzzle. At 2.5in overall including the spear point, it makes light work of spiking a patch, running cleaning solvent through the bore, then following with dry patches until they come out clean. Made from durable nylon in the USA, it is a straightforward way to get a thorough, even clean through a 28 gauge barrel without wasting patches on a loose fit.
