Bore Tech's V-Stix is a one-piece coated cleaning rod for rifles chambered from .270 calibre upward, sold as a lower-cost alternative to Bore Tech's own Proof-Positive Bore Stix. This is the longest of the line, with a 44in working length measured on the rod only (excluding the handle), giving an overall length of roughly 49.5in once the handle is fitted — enough reach for longer-barrelled rifles that the 36in and 40in versions won't cover. It has a red, colour-coded, free-floating ball-bearing handle that rotates independently of the rod so a brush or jag follows the rifling rather than twisting in your hand as it travels down the barrel. The rod is built around an enhanced steel core, .227in in diameter, wrapped in Bore Tech's high-performance coating, which is chemically resistant and keeps the rod rigid with minimal bow or flex even over this longer length. A replaceable, barrel-safe brass tip with an 8/32 female thread fits standard jags, mops and brushes with no separate adapter, and won't mark the crown the way a steel tip can. Bore Tech recommend using a bore guide or muzzle guard alongside it for extra protection.
