The Bisley Brass Jag is a solid brass cleaning attachment designed for use with standard shotgun cleaning rods to remove fouling and deposits from the bore. The classic split-jag design grips a cleaning patch or cloth firmly when wound around it, allowing a solvent-soaked patch to make full contact with the barrel walls as it passes through — far more effective at lifting lead and plastic wad deposits than a mop or brush alone. The brass construction is hard-wearing and will not scratch or damage the bore surface. Bisley jags are available in the gauges used across the UK game-shooting and clay-shooting world: 12, 16, 20 and 28 gauge versions share a standard 9/32 x 26 BSB thread and use the familiar split design, while the .410 version has a male rifle fitting rather than a slot — note this means the .410 jag is not compatible with regular shotgun rods. All gauges fit standard Bisley and Parker-Hale format rod systems. An everyday workshop essential for anyone who cleans their gun after a day in the field.
