The harsh UK weather necessitates that highseats left out for any length of time must be made from the best possible materials. Galvanising steel is widely regarded as the best way to protect steel and avoid the corrosive damage caused by exposure to water.
The G1 and G2 Highseats are fully galvanised and follow a very traditional design which is easy to erect and very stable. Surprisingly lightweight, the seats can be carried in and with the use of a single allen key (not provided) can be put up in less than 15 minutes. The treated wooden bench will give years of service and boards can be easily replaced should mother nature ever manage to weaken the boards.
As always with Highseats follow best practice, ratchet straps are essential for the safe use of these items. Ratchet straps sold separately.

Solid as a rock

Arrived in very good time , sat in the box a couple of days as I had other stuff on , finally got it out and all the bits present, and all threads cleaned so no trouble setting the bolts , after a quick read of the instructions from start to finish built in less than 10 minutes, once on site and strapped to the tree it’s as solid as a rock , no worries taking a 200yard shot from this seat.

I bought two and followed the assembly instructions for the first one. I found assembling the seat attached to the ladder awkward. So for the second seat I assembled the seat sections first using the two outer bolts and then attached the ladder and stays.
I have a decent workshop but knowing the size of Allan key would be helpful to some people.
Like another commentator I wondered why the sleeved section on the ladder faces up not down.
I'm 6'2" plus and I find the depth of the seat front to rear to be tight. I will be bolting a length of timber d rail to the shooting rail to extend and improve the hand rest area.
I might replace the seat timber with d rail. I think the supplied timber is the minimum thickness I'd like.
With two rachet straps and the mid ladder back stay the seat is rock solid.
The shooting rail is a sensible height.
I've made 50+ timber seats over the last twenty years. But if these do the job I will be a returning customer. How about a discount for returning customers😉

Really well made and strong a little shorter than I would have liked but it is the size advertised I will probably buy another one

Some of the items had come out of the packaging box on arrival, however nothing was missing. The seat was easy to erect and with good quality fittings. With 1 or 2 ratchet straps (not supplied) it is secure against a tree. I also drilled a small hole in the tree to fit the stay support. The tubing is galvanised and looks like it should last. Delivery was pretty quick. Overall happy with the product and service. I may buy another.

Excellent service and quick delivery again from bushwear👍 The highseat is very good although it’s made from thin wall box section which is a pity as if it was heavier walled this would last for a good few years. Hopefully this will last a lot longer than the powder coated ones . Well done Bushwear 👍
