The Bisley Chestnut Hiker is a full-length hiking staff cut from chestnut harvested in sustainable forests, then stripped back and lacquered to a smooth, weatherproof finish that still shows the wood's natural grain and knots. Roughly 129.5cm long (lengths vary slightly, being a natural material), it gives a walker genuine support on long countryside routes, hill paths and uneven ground, rather than acting as a token accessory. The staff is fitted with a plain ferrule at the tip for a secure plant on grass, mud and stony tracks, and comes with an attached wrist strap so it stays with you rather than swinging loose or getting left behind at a stile. It suits anyone covering serious distance on foot — dog walkers, ramblers and stalkers alike — who wants a traditional wooden staff with real backbone rather than a folding trekking pole. Straightforward and durable, this is a staff built to be used on the hill, not just carried for show.
