The Bisley DM80 is a one-piece Dampa scope mount built for rifles with a Weaver or Picatinny rail, taking a 1" (25mm) diameter scope tube and fitting lenses up to 56mm in diameter. It's a high mount, so there's plenty of clearance for larger objective lenses over the barrel. The standout feature is the Dampa system: the mount body sits on small rubber bushes that absorb the sharp, two-way recoil pulse of a spring-piston or gas-ram air rifle, cushioning the scope's internals against the kind of jarring impact that causes lens damage, spring wear or a shifting zero over time. Because it clamps directly onto Picatinny-spec rails rather than dovetails, fitment is straightforward and repeatable if the mount is ever removed and refitted. Machined from aircraft-specification aluminium and built in Great Britain, it's aimed at owners of high-powered air rifles as well as large-calibre centrefire rifles who want a genuinely solid, damage-resistant scope mounting solution rather than a rigid mount that transmits every jolt straight to the optic. Note it is designed for Picatinny-pattern rails only, not standard dovetails.
