The BushWear Double Bush Hide is a purpose-built 2-person pop-up hunting hide suited to deer stalking, pigeon shooting, and vermin control. A sprung steel canopy deploys in seconds without tools, giving two shooters a spacious, stable workspace. The camouflage fabric is blackout-lined to eliminate light bleed behind you, while mesh-covered windows at the sides and rear allow natural observation without exposing movement. The front panel uses two-way zippers so you can crack it for a discreet rifle shot or open it fully and secure the canopy back with the included adjustment strap for a wide arc of fire on standing pigeon shots. Built-in armrest holders keep cartridges and a flask within reach during long sessions. At 8.5 kg the hide folds down into a compact, carry-friendly package that is straightforward to move between fieldcraft spots. Suitable for both rifle and shotgun disciplines, it strikes a practical balance between concealment, comfort, and portability.

Double bush hide

Seems a good bit of kit for the price, easy to erect and take down, good for me and my grandson to sit for squirrels and rabbits, maybe work for deer too

Great and long lasting

I've had a double for about 12 years, bought from Bushwear and will shortly buy another. I would always recommend a double as it's great to have somewhere to put your bits: spotter, spare ammo, binoculars, book, occasional dog. The cup holders are pointless though. I've never had any issues with the magnets holding the window screens but there is no doubt that there should be a screen covering the front opening. There is no alternative but to fit your own as quarry often turns up way too close for you to breathe and the last thing you want is to be wearing full camo inside the hide. Over the years the light is shining in through pin pricks from various encounters with holly and brambles but the fabric has never torn. It's pretty rain proof. Again, over the years it has sheared the bolts allowing the cover to fold out, but they can be replaced relatively easily. Mine has been permanently outside for the last five years, pegged down with ground screws, and finally the seats are getting a bit delicate. They are quite small for the size of my arse at 6'2", but I always carry a foam seat to avoid blood loss. Getting a tripod in is ok so long as one of the legs is threaded under and between the seats. I don't think you can find better.

A very useful and comfortable hide

I had my last one for about 12 years - permanently set up for the last seven or eight years in a local wood. However eventually the fabric wore out.
I replaced it last week. The basics are the same but the main disappointment was that the mesh over the front opening of the hide has been left out of this latest model. For photographing shy birds or animals this is a major disadvantage and I will have to find a way of adding some camouflage netting / mesh over the front, otherwise its use will be very limited.
The internal zips for the other windows have been changed to little magnets, which aren’t as robust, but I will cope with these.
So….. still a good hide, but not as good as it was in the past.

Had to fix after first use

First impressions of the hide were excellent. Towards the end of its first few hours use however the plastic nut that secure the middle bit of the seat material to the front of the chair broke off. I took the hide home and replaced the bolt with one of my own as well as a large washer on top of the material to retain it securely to the frame of chair. Such a small thing to have break but it renders the chair useless. I'd really consider upgrading this part of the chair to a metal nut as the plastic one isn't really fit for purpose. Aside from that it's a great bit of kit.
