- True mechanical hinge allows the ammo to open flat and resists breaking in colder weather
The Frankford Arsenal Hinge-Top Ammo Box #505 is a rigid 50-round storage box for .222 and .223 Remington class rifle cartridges, with the maker also listing a fit for .17 Remington. Moulded from high-density polymer, it keeps rounds upright, separated and protected from knocks and moisture far better than a tatty factory carton — handy whether you are organising handloads on the bench or carrying a foxing session's worth of .223 in the truck. The true mechanical hinge is the clever bit: the lid opens flat for easy access, will not blow shut on you in the field, and resists snapping in cold weather, which matters on a frosty morning's vermin control. The top of the lid is sized to take a standard 1" x 2 5/8" printer label, so you can mark up load data, bullet weight or zero details at a glance, and the boxes stack squarely for tidy cabinet or range-bag storage. A simple, inexpensive way to keep your centrefire ammunition sorted.
