The Guide TrackIR 25 is a handheld thermal imaging monocular designed for serious night-time observation, stalking and pest control. It uses a 400x300, 17µm thermal sensor with a 25mm lens, giving 1.7-6.8x total magnification (1.7x optical with up to 4x smooth digital zoom) and detection ranges out to 700m for a human-sized target and 1700m for a vehicle-sized target. A sharp 1280x960 0.4-inch LCOS display runs at 50Hz for a clear, natural view, and Picture-in-Picture mode adds a zoomed detail box within the main image so you keep sight of the wider ground while studying your subject. A built-in stadiametric rangefinder helps judge distance to known-sized targets, and five colour palettes cover every lighting and terrain scenario. Power comes from an internal Li-Ion pack (2x18650, 6000mAh) good for more than five hours, recharged via USB, and 16GB of onboard memory stores captured photos and video. Wi-Fi lets you pair the unit with Guide's app for remote operation and file sharing. Built to IP66 and rated to withstand a 1m drop, it weighs 470g and is finished for genuine field use.
